Azeroth Survivors browser
No download, but WebGPU required. First-load, saves and fixes.
The browser version is the main way to play. It needs a current Chrome, Edge or Safari with WebGPU enabled, and hardware acceleration on. Firefox 141+ and Safari 26+ are also reported as supported. On Linux, Chrome needs the chrome://flags/#enable-unsafe-webgpu flag.
First load downloads game assets — one guide's test counted about 517 game files and 349 world files — so a black screen for a while is not necessarily a failure. Keep playing in the same browser and tab; progress is kept in the browser, and opening guides in a separate tab protects your run. If the page says your browser has no WebGPU, do not install a random “fix” — update the browser first, then use the Windows download.
Browser support at a glance
| Browser | Notes |
|---|---|
| Chrome / Edge (desktop, current) | WebGPU on by default; Linux Chrome may need the unsafe-webgpu flag. |
| Safari (recent) | Ships WebGPU; update macOS and Safari if you see a WebGPU warning. |
| Firefox 141+ | Reported as supported. |
| Any browser without WebGPU | The game cannot start there — use the Windows build instead. |

Free. No account. No WoW subscription. This site does not host the game and does not embed game files. The button opens developer Aethus's official browser version in a new tab.
If you see “Too many people are playing”, the official browser version is throttled on its small free server. Try off-peak hours or the Windows download — do not trust third-party mirrors.
Elwynn timers and class numbers on this page are stated as verified; later-zone numbers are not invented here.
